2020 is officially the year of the Holly Dolly Christmas!

If we were looking for one person who could add a bit of sparkle and joy to Christmas 2020, it was always going to be Dolly Parton!

The iconic country music star is owning the festive season with a new book, new album AND new Netflix Christmas musical for us to enjoy.

Let’s start with the Netflix musical – it’s called Christmas on the Square and stars Christine Baranski (The Good Wife) as a Scrooge-like landlord who must learn the meaning of Christmas from the people of her town and a well-meaning angel played by Dolly herself.

Check out the trailer below and see if it might be your cup of tea…

Then, there’s her new yuletide album entitled A Holly, Dolly Christmas which frankly, we’re surprised she’s waited until now to release!

The album is Dolly’s first holiday album in 30 years and includes some of the timeless Christmas songs we all know and love, as well as a few original tracks from Dolly.

The album also features incredible duets with some of her dearest friends including Michael Bublé, Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus, Jimmy Fallon and Willie Nelson, plus a special song with her brother, Randy Parton.

If you’re not content just listening to the album, she’s also arranged for a holiday special to air this December 4th on CBS via the music streaming service Pandora.

Finally, if that wasn’t enough Dolly for you, she has also written a book called Dolly Parton, Songteller: My Life In Lyrics.

Told in her own inimitable words, the coffee table book explores the songs that have defined her journey to stardom.

Mining over 60 years of songwriting, Dolly highlights 150 of her songs and brings readers behind the lyrics.

It’s packed with never-before-seen photographs and classic memorabilia and reveals personal stories and candid insights behind the songs.

Oh, and let’s not forget that this is the woman behind the genius Imagination Library which has donated over 147 MILLION books to children around the world.

And to top it off, she donated a million dollars to the Moderna Covid Vaccine research fund so if that doesn’t make her a real-life angel in all our lives, we don’t know what will.

Dolly, we salute you. Christmas 2020 is yours!
