Duration: Approximately as follows:
2 hours a day 17th October – 30th October ( 2 weeks)
4 hours a day 31st October – 25th December (8 weeks with some weekend/ out of hours)
2 hours a day 26th December – 8th January 2025 ( 2 weeks with some weekend/ out of hours)
Rate: €15 p/h
About Christmas FM:
We are Ireland’s Christmas Station! ChristmasFM Ireland is a quasi national FM radio station serving Ireland for 30 days each Christmas period and online all year. We operate a unique temporary radio service funded by commercial sponsorship and activities and have a strong focus on fundraising for charity.
In 2024, Christmas FM celebrates 17 years on air. Since 2008, Christmas FM has raised more than €3 million for charities including ISPCC, Barnardos, Dublin Simon Community, Age Action, Aware, Make-A-Wish Ireland, Focus Ireland, Sightsavers, Temple Street Hospital, Barretstown, ALONE and now a host of Children’s charities through the Magic of Christmas Appeal.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, motivated and organised person for the role of Administration Assistant to join our team on a contract basis from October to January. The role will involve answering queries from the general public and a range of administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be computer literate, highly organized and with the ability to work in a time efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer queries from and respond to issues highlighted by the general public in a time sensitive, friendly and professional manner.
- Monitor communications for any developing issues, relay to management and follow up where necessary.
- Administer competitions and giveaways
- Update and maintain databases
- Monitor and administer a range of promotions under the direction of management.
- Relay Media/Sales/other queries to the relevant department and follow up where necessary
- Generate documents/assets for end of campaign reporting
- Assist in any other administrative tasks as needed
- Ensure all communications are delivered in keeping with the ethos and style of Christmas FM
Qualifications:
- Computer skills and proficiency with a range of office programmes
- Knowledge of WordPress would be an added bonus
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently in a time efficient manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – a polite, calm and professional manner is essential.
The role may involve some travel to our studio in Liffey Valley and other locations on specific dates/occasions but will be remote for the most part. It will involve some limited work hours during specific weekends and out of hours and over holiday periods (including Christmas).
