Aoife Whelan

I am a Guidance Counsellor in a lovely secondary school in South County Dublin. Previously I was a chef and I was very fortunate to work in many places all over the world and build my career over the course of eight years within the culinary industry. My career then moved in a different direction as I wanted to work helping people so I decided to study to become a Guidance Counsellor and I started a food blog ‘Sweff-The-Chef’ as a platform to share my passion and recipes for healthy food, living and general wellness. This is how my journey with Christmas FM started and I began working with this station in 2016, sharing my healthier take on festive recipes and I’m delighted that it has evolved from there! I couldn’t be happier to be part of the team.

Why Christmas FM
I wanted to work with Christmas FM as the idea of being involved in bringing the magic of Christmas to so many homes whilst helping a charity was an opportunity that I couldn't miss. I cannot think of anything better or more worthwhile! The other thing that you will need to know about me is that I love everything about Christmas!! I genuinely believe that I may have been a Christmas elf in a past life and anyone who knows me would agree. I'd give Buddy the Elf a run for his money!
