New research has revealed that almost half of Irish mums will pay their babysitter an average hourly rate of 10 euro and with some 40 per cent of mums enjoying three or more nights out over the festive season — they’ll be splashing out a whopping €150 to €250 on babysitting fees.

And with 71% of families seeking babysitting services, it’s seems sourcing a suitable babysitter can bring out a competitive streak — with 20 per cent of mums admitting to poaching a babysitter from a friend or neighbour.

We’ve had ugly Christmas jumpers, dresses and even suits. And last year men around the world were decorating their beards with baubles. But 2015 will mark the start of another bizzare new Christmas beauty trend.

Anyone looking for a unique way to add some celebratory sparkle to their ensemble this holiday season can now cover their underarm hair in glitter and sequins.

The aptly-named ‘glitter pit’ movement sees ith the men and women using the #glitterpit hashtag on Instagram in order to showcase their own take on the trend.

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg will appear on tonight’s Late Late Show, having attended the premiere of their new movie Daddy’s Home during the week.

During a pre-recorded interview, the pair regaled Ryan Tubridy with tales from their trip to Dublin – revealing that at one stage they found themselves in the middle of a ‘bunch of Irish dads’ who had won a competition to join them.

Mark Wahlberg said: “They didn’t want to go to the movie, they just wanted to get p*ssed! They were like: ‘we can see it when it comes out, we can buy a proper ticket!”

During the interview, Will Ferrell even goes so far as to do an impression of one of these dads, who he says was “rendered incomprehensible” after a few pints.

Wahlberg also admitted that nobody was really sure what was going on: “I didn’t understand a word he said either…he talked to us for probably five minutes!”
