2025 sees us celebrate our 18th year on air, and we’re proud to announce that we’ve raised over €4 million for a range of charities since we began broadcasting.
We’re continuing with the hugely successful Magic of Christmas Appeal – raising funds for three of Ireland’s leading children’s charities: Barnardos, Barretstown and Make-A-Wish Ireland, along with a range of children’s charities across Ireland making a difference in local communities through Community Foundation Ireland.
Thanks to the kind donations from our wonderful listeners, we reached our fundraising target of €1,000,000 between 2022 and 2024. The Magic of Christmas appeal is now continuing with the same charity partners, with a new goal to raise OVER €1,000,000 in the next three years.
By donating to The Magic of Christmas, you’ll be giving the Gift of Childhood to those who need it most – because every child deserves magic at Christmas.
The station comes to life each year through the dedication of our volunteer presenters, who give hundreds of hours of their time, supported by our core management team. Our running costs are covered by generous sponsors, ensuring that ALL listener donations go directly to our charity partners. This year, Coca-Cola, An Post and Cadbury are proudly serving as our premier FM sponsors.
We’re broadcasting from The Clayton Hotel, Liffey Valley, who have kindly donated our studio space again this year.
As well as broadcasting online and on FM from November 28th, we have a number of sister stations which are streamed globally, helping to sprinkle Christmas cheer and joy right across the world!
- Christmas FM Classical plays ‘Classical and Carols’. The station brings you the best in Classical Christmas music mixed with a wide range of festive carols
- Christmas FM Classics plays ‘Classics and Crooners’. It’s a mix of classic, pre-1970s Christmas songs from Bing Crosby to Frank Sinatra
As Garvan Rigby, our co-founder, says:
“We’re absolutely thrilled to share that Christmas FM is back to Switch Christmas On across Ireland for 2025, with the wonderful first class of St. Peter’s National School in Dunboyne, Co. Meath, offering a helping hand. We can’t wait to spread Christmas cheer and joy around the nation throughout the Christmas period.
We’re delighted to once again have An Post, Cadbury, and Coca-Cola as our premier FM sponsors for 2025, and we’re also grateful to The Clayton Hotel, Liffey Valley for kindly donating our studio space again this year.
We could not have reached 18 years on air without the continued support of Coimisiún na Meán, along with our amazing listeners and volunteers who have been with us every step of the way, supporting us and our charity partners. Once again, we are proud to be raising funds for the Magic of Christmas Appeal.”
