Today, is Christmas FM’s annual Donation Day where we ask listeners and their friends to dig deep and help our charity partner, Make-A-Wish Ireland.
Make-A-Wish Ireland grants wishes to children aged 3-17 who are battling life-threatening illnesses. Really difficult illnesses. A wish is a true gift to these children who miss out on normal things that others take for granted like playing with their friends, riding a bicycle, climbing trees and enjoying all the fun things that healthy children can. A wish brings happiness and joy as well as leaving the child and their entire family with wonderful memories to last a lifetime.
Make-A-Wish Ireland have over 200 children on their waiting list and are receiving a large number of applications each month. The charity has seen an increase in rush wishes, where the life expectancy of the child is less than 6-9 months. Some wish children do not have time to wait for their wish to be granted. Unfortunately Make-A-Wish do not have enough funding to reduce the waiting list at the moment.
You can help, today!
