Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the charity partner for 2018?

Each year Christmas FM partners with a charity who become our official charity partner for that year. This year it’s the turn of Temple Street Hospital, better known to almost everyone as simply, Temple St.

What will be done with the money raised?

This festive season, Christmas FM is partnering with Temple Street to raise vital funds that will go towards giving the gift of life to over 1,000 critically ill babies and children. Funds raised by Christmas FM this December will purchase new, state-of-the-art incubators and ventilators – helping to ensure that sick children have access to the very best paediatric equipment when they need it most.

I work with a charity. How do I suggest my charity for partner for next year?

Please email in February 2019 with full details of your charity – subject line: ‘Charity Partner application 2019’. We will then set out the application process to you for 2019

I want to read more about your presenters

Read all about our presenters here:

Can you read out my text at a specific time?

Due to the large volume of text messages we receive from listeners, we are unable to play requests at specific times. Our presenters will usually read out your message within one hour of you sending it in to our donation text line – but this is not guaranteed. Dedications are only accepted via our donation text line.  Messages sent via social media, the website (unless outside of Republic of Ireland) or other forms of communication will not be read out.

I didn’t hear my text - can you play it again/ send me a copy of the presenter saying it on air?

Unfortunately we are not in a position to repeat messages or forward copies of messages to listeners.

I know someone who has a Christmas song you should play - how can they get played?

In Ireland, the FM signal where I live is weak/not working/intermittent

As Christmas FM broadcasts in certain parts of Ireland on the FM band, listeners may encounter loss of signal/weak signal as they travel or move from one local area to another.  Additionally, due to weather and environmental interference beyond our control (such as terrain/electrical interference) you may experience signal issues or loss in your area.

If you cannot pick us up on FM in your area then that means there is no coverage in your locality.  There are other ways of listening to Christmas FM if you encounter these difficulties – please follow this link for all the ways of listening:
