About Me:

I was delighted to join the Christmas FM team in 2023, having first developed a grá for radio while working at Midlands 103 in the mid 2000s.

I’ve had many careers since then – shelf stacker extraordinaire, writer, actor, masseuse, sports physiotherapist and company director, but the auld wireless has never been far from my thoughts. I love the creativity, the fun and the personal connection which radio allows.

When I’m not on air, I spend my time watching telly, playing video games (badly) or hanging out with my adorable son and fantastic wife.

Your role at Christmas FM:

I’m a presenter on Christmas FM Classics, the home of classics and crooners.

Why Christmas FM:

I love Christmas! Especially the lights, the decorations, the time spent with family and friends. Christmas FM has been the soundtrack to so many of my more recent Christmas memories and I’m over the moon to play a tiny role in making the Christmas FM magic happen.

My Favourite Christmas Food:

I love a giant leftover sandwich, filled to the brim with all the good stuff – turkey, ham, stuffing, cranberry and, if I’m feeling very indulgent, a generous dollop of gravy. Calorific!

My Favourite Christmas Movie:

Arthur Christmas – A modernish Christmas movie that doesn’t get the love it deserves. Give it a watch and remember ‘there’s always time for a bow!’

My Favourite Christmas Tradition:

Going for a walk down Grafton Street on Christmas Eve with my wife and son. We soak in the atmosphere, treat ourselves to a tasty brekkie and then buy some books for us all to enjoy.

Where I’m From:

I come from a family of Dubs but I grew up down the M7 in Roscrea, Co Tipperary. While I am a city boy at heart, I still love an occasional trip to the country to enjoy the quiet and fresh air. I grew up running through fields, playing sports, camping with the scouts and performing with the local musical society. After brief stints in Drumcondra, Pennsylvania and London I find myself back in Dublin, now in Glenageary.
