Gerry Healy

About Me:

Having presented on Christmas FM between 2012 and 2019, I was delighted to return in 2024, helping to bring you the magic of Christmas!!

I love Christmas!!! And I love radio… I did my very first “radio” broadcast back in the early 80s, using two record players and a mixer, from my bedroom (studio) through a speaker wired to the kitchen where Mum and Dad were my audience!

Throughout the 80’s and early 90’s, I worked as a DJ with my own disco roadshow, hosted various events around the country and presented on many of the ‘pirates’.

In the mid 90s, I moved from radio to TV for a while and presented the Saturday morning quiz show ‘Physiquiz’ on RTE TV. From the late 90’s to 2007, I presented weather on TV3 (VMTV) during TV3 News and Ireland AM. My TV career continued on CBS TV in California from 2012 – 2014

Meanwhile, my radio presenting career continued – firstly on Phoenix FM in Blanchardstown and then; Spirit Radio, All80s, East Coast FM, The Rock, Pure GoldFM Spain, Essentials Radio UK, Classic Hits 80s and Radio Nova – where I currently present Weekend Breakfast from 7am-10am every Saturday morning. From my home studio, I do Voice Overs for radio and TV commercials, Telephone On Hold, eLearning and more.

My full-time job as a Training Consultant allows me the opportunity to bring my love of broadcasting to my work where I include presenting, facilitating eLearning and training video production as part of my day-to-day. Music is key in my life and I always have music playing – especially rock. I’ve been playing drums since I was a kid and guitar too (Spanish and rock guitar).
