Gary Barlow is giving Michael Buble a run for his money by releasing yet another song this Christmas.
Not content with giving us the fabulous festive hit ‘Incredible’ last year, Gary Barlow has done it again in 2021.
The Take That alum teamed up with West End star Sheridan Smith for this year’s offering – a song called ‘How Christmas Is Supposed To Be’.
The song tells the story of a warring couple who eventually overcome their differences to have a wonderful Christmas together!
Gary said he didn’t just need a ‘singer’ to perform with him, he needed an ‘actress who could sing’ to really sell the story in the video.
The collaboration came to fruition after Gary first met Sheridan backstage at the Royal Variety Performance last year. They swapped numbers and she then performed with him on his popular ‘Crooner Sessions’ to his followers’ delight.
Such was the fun they had, Gary decided she was the only person for the job when it came to recording the story of a couple finding their way back to each other at Christmas time!
We definitely think he made the right choice!
The song appears on Gary’s stunning new album, A Dream of Christmas, which features original songs as well as beautiful new renditions of festive favourites.
If Gary keeps this up, we reckon Michael Bublé’s crown as the King of Christmas could be in serious jeopardy…
