Mike Moloney

I began my radio career in 1978. In 2000 I left 2FM, having spent 16 years there. Since then I’ve worked in regional radio. In 2004 I moved to Sligo to help launch the then newly licensed Ocean FM. I presented 6 shows a week there and became Head of Music.  Additionally I was in charge of programming all output and was Head of Outside Broadcasts – all of which kept me very busy!! A few years ago I left Ocean FM to help my wife Catriona run our business, Scooters Creche, Montessori and After-School club, taking care of 100+ kids of all ages in Caltragh, at the edge of Sligo town.

As Christmas FM 2018 goes on air, I will have just returned to RTE, presenting a show on RTE Gold called ‘Living in the 70’s’ every Tuesday at 13.00 – 14.00, with a repeat on Saturday’s at 08.00.
