Sylvain Borel

About Me:

I am Sylvain, aka Sylvain the Friendly Elf (who also happens to be French).

Born a long, long time ago in the far away land of Liverpool (odd ball for a French Elf), I have been living in Ireland since 1999 after falling in love with an amazing Irish fairy with whom I had three adorable little pixies.

I live in Howth, North County Dublin where I share my spare time between the local GAA club where I am the official pitch coordinator (having been a mentor for my daughters’ and son’s teams) and sailing.

I joined Christmas FM in 2023.

Why Christmas FM:

When I was little I had the opportunity to visit a BBC radio station where we spent the day learning everything about radio and putting together a small program. I never stopped thinking about that. As a student I ran a radio show over 3 weeks (12 programs in total ) on one of the local radios to promote a jazz festival. Ever since it started I have been listening to Christmas FM always thinking why wouldn’t I be a presenter on this radio. I love radio and I LOVE Xmas so I cannot think of a more fulfilling activity.
