Textline Terms and Conditions

The following is some information about our 50300 text/SMS service. This is a Premium Rate service regulated by ComReg.

  1. This service is only for messaging the Christmas FM Ireland studio and not any other station in our group.
  2. This service is only available to subscribers of certain mobile phone networks in the Republic of Ireland. It is not available to mobile users outside of Ireland.
  3. To make a request you must text the word XMAS followed by a space and THEN your message to 50300.
  4. If you do not start your text with the word XMAS then your message will not be received by us but you will still be charged.
  5. Text messages cost €2.00. Please ask the bill payers permission before sending a message.
  6. 100% of your donation goes to our Charity Partner across most network operators. Some operators apply Value Added Tax (VAT) which means a minimum of €1.63 will go to our Charity Partner.
  7. Text lines are open from November 28th, 2017 and up to and including December 27th, 2017. Please note that you will be charged if you send a message outside of these dates.

Song Contest Terms & Conditions

  1. The CHRISTMAS FM SONG CONTEST (the “Promotion”) is open to entry (or other participation in) by individuals who reside in the Republic of Ireland except for employees of the Promoter, their families, employees of any associated companies or agents, and anyone professionally involved with this Promotion. Entry into this Promotion shall be deemed to be a full and unconditional acceptance by the entrant of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. Failure to adhere to these Terms and Conditions may result in disqualification from the Promotion and forfeiture of the Prize.
  3. To enter, entrants
    1. Must have written part or all of an original song or perform a cover version of a Christmas song.
    2. All entries must be uploaded to Soundcloud, and be publicly accessible.
    3. The entry must be of a high production quality and suitable for airplay.
    4. Songs should be radio edits (suitable for general airplay).
    5. Entrant declares themselves as the rightful owner of the composition if an original piece of work. Where an entry is partially written or composed by the entrant then the entrant must have full permissions from all parties involved.
    6. Finalists will be selected by the Promoter and will be contacted between December, 7th and 8th, 2017 for the final round of public voting (Dec 9th-10th, 2017). The winner will be announced on December 11th.
    7. The Promoter will determine the number of qualifying finalists from all entries received.
    8. All entrants permit the use of the song entry by Christmas FM for on-air activity around the song contest.
    9. Winner will be determined from the list of finalists and in part by a public online vote and a Christmas FM judging panel.
    10. Entrant declares that they own the copyright of the image provided through the entry form and further agrees at no cost to the promoter and their agents to the use of the image/likeness on PR by the promoters or their press, social media outlets, website and any other outlets in relation to the promotion of this contest.
  4. Only one entry per person or group.
  5. The Promotion is open for entry between Sunday, November 26th, and Tuesday, December 6th at midnight.
  6. The Prize winner will be notified via the e-mail address and/or phone number provided on the entry form. If we do not receive a response within a set period of time, specified in the message, an alternative finalist or winner may be chosen at the Promoter’s discretion.
  7. Allocation of Prize is to individual(s) only. Proof of identity may be required.
  8. The winner’s name can be found by sending a SAE to Christmas Radio Ltd., 9 Willows Business Park, Knockmitten Lane, Dublin 12 and quoting ‘Christmas FM Song Contest 2017 Winner’. No other correspondence will be entered into concerning the result and the Promoter’s decision is final.
  9. The winner may be required to participate in reasonable publicity including airplay of their composition.
  10. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Promotion, Prize and/or these Terms & Conditions in the event of any unforeseen circumstances without notice.
  11. The Promoter and their agents accept no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to the Promotion. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for a breakdown in communication systems or networks that might result in an entry not being registered or delivered.
  12. The Promoter reserves the right to exclude any entries which it believes to be fraudulent or based on misconduct. This includes any manipulation of public voting.
  13. Neither the Promoter nor any of its associated or affiliated companies shall be liable to any Participant for any cancellation, discontinuance or delay affecting this Promotion.
  14. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate or temporarily suspend this Promotion in the event of technical or other difficulties that might compromise its integrity.
  15. The Promoter does not accept any liability for loss or damages incurred, or responsibility for any claim, as a result of the acceptance of the Prize. Specific Prize arrival dates cannot be guaranteed and will be subject to availability.
  16. Entrants’ personal data will only be held for the purposes of selecting, contacting and confirming the winner as per Terms 6, 7, 8 and 9 above and will not be used for any other purposes whatsoever without their prior permission.
