The Top 10 Irish Biscuits Revealed!

In a nation that drinks more tea per capita than any other country in the world, there’s a lot to be said for the biscuit. It’s the crumbly sidekick to our unofficial national beverage, beloved by milk and sugar takers alike.

Indeed, it’s a well-known fact that the tin of biscuits is a staple in pretty much every Irish household and office around Christmas. But that’s where the consensus around these aluminium treasure troves ends.

Heated discussions over the choice between U.S.A. and Afternoon Tea, or whether it’s acceptable to start the second layer before the first one’s finished, are just as much of an annual staple as the tins themselves.

And now, as if looking to drive a further wedge between family members this Christmas, customer science company Dunnhumbym have officially revealed Ireland’s top 10 biscuits. The study was carried out by studying biscuit sales in Tesco outlets across the country, so if there’s some consolation if you’re a SuperValu shopper feeling aggrieved that your cookie of choice didn’t make the list.
